There's yet another new search engine on the block, but this time, it's being ballyhooed as an actual challenger to Google. Cuil.com (pronounced "cool") made its public launch today and already calls itself the "biggest search engine on the web." Run by a team of former Google employees, the startup takes a slightly different approach to search than most of the big names, but whether it will be able to unseat Google—or even Yahoo—remains to be seen.

Business can be done in many ways. Zappos, the online shoe store, turns it into something that everyone enjoys. Both customers and employees. If you want to work for them and you finished their training course, you receive 2000 US dollars if you quit. The reason they do this is to make sure that the new employees are people that are really motivated about working at Zappos.
Tony Hsieh (pronounced "Shay") is the current CEO of online shoe seller Zappos.com. Prior to joining Zappos, Hsieh co-founded and sold the internet advertising network LinkExchange to Microsoft for $265M in 1998. Hsieh graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Computer Science.
Torsten Reil talks about how the study of biology can help make natural-looking animated people -- by building a human from the inside out, with bones, muscles and a nervous system. He spoke at TED in 2003; see his work now in GTA4.
